Let’s Talk About Narcissism

In this video

When I realized that most of the entrepreneurs and business owners I work I’m in relationship with have difficulties embracing their ability to receive, I was shocked.

The insight emerged from a series of coaching calls during which I realized that it wasn’t their willingness to serve or an incapability to create value that was holding them back – instead, it appears that many coaches, consultants, and service providers are missing the value embedded in their free square.

Let me explain.

Your free square is the thing you do that is most obvious to you. It’s the way you see the world. It’s intrinsic to you and you feel that it’s common sense. Your free square is so deeply embedded in your identity that it’s hard sometimes to step back from it and see it for what it is.

In the terms of my mentor, John Demartini, your free square is your highest value. It’s your mission. All of your behaviours, actions, and strategies in life are subconsciously leading you to fulfill it.

And ironically, because it’s so deeply embedded into your DNA, it’s often completely overshadowed by the values, demands, and injected authority imposed on us by others.

When we compare our free square to what we think others expect of us it becomes difficult to justify.

Therein lies the paradox.

What is truly most valuable about us is often consciously valued least.

And until we recognize how valuable our highest value truly is, our growth will be constrained.

The key to your growth isn’t greater levels of service. You’ve already got that covered.

It’s time to value yourself.
