Well, okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration. But what I do hate is having to be accountable to a system I lack information to effectively manage.
One of the great things about leading a small business is that we can be flexible. If there’s something about the company that doesn’t work, we don’t have to re-invent the wheel to change things up. All we need is an internal discussion (and maybe few new Jarvis articles).
Today I had breakfast with Rene and Everett, and I shared my frustration with how we handle our cash flow. We had a great discussion because I’m not afraid of sharing my honest thoughts.
Sometimes the best strategy for finding solutions is to allow myself to be vulnerable and to let other people see what I’m really dealing with. The only way to grow is through support and challenge, and I got both today.
