Are you the biggest kid in your sandbox?
That’s really the end-goal of any business owner: to the biggest kid in the sandbox go all the spoils. And fortunately for this metaphor, in the world of business, we don’t have to rely on genetics to become the biggest kid.
Here’s the thing: no matter how big of a kid you are, there’s always a bigger kid. But if you stake out a very specific claim (a sandbox, in this case) becoming the biggest kid THERE isn’t so much of an impossible task.
Too many entrepreneurs, however, are running across the entire park chasing butterflies instead of getting down to work in the sandbox. And they’re doing that because they’re trying to do everything all at once rather than according to a specific vector and plan.
