This is going to sound like it’s coming from an old man standing on his porch yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off his lawn, but it needs to be said: all of you need to slow down and take a breath.
I talk to a lot of business owners. And one common thing I’ve noticed is that they want everything done immediately…whether it’s work they’re doing, work their team is doing, or work that’s being performed by a third party…nobody has any patience anymore.
And when things inevitably don’t happen immediately (Hofstadter’s Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter’s Law) they feel behind. And that feeling of being behind is one of the most dangerous things you can bring into your business.
