Every quarter I take time out of my business to talk to my team about their values. For a business owner, that time is a serious investment. Pulling everyone away from their job is not something I take lightly.
I do it because it’s valuable. Why is it valuable? One of the ways I know that it is has to do with my company values, one of which states that we “Invest in Education.” Time is an investment, and so spending it on education is a perfectly valid thing to do.
That’s saying nothing about the actual content of the education. Values…well, values are everything. Every action you take, every perception that runs through your brain, every emotion you feel, comes down to a reflection of what you value.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
A lot of what I know about this subject comes from my mentor, Dr. John Demartini, so I owe him a big thanks.
